Safran Orman Tarım is a family farm in the high village of Kırıklar in Safranbolu, working with respect for nature and the soil.
OUR STORY
We grow it ourselves, on our own land in Safranbolu
Our story began with Safranbolu Saffron, one of the most treasured products Safranbolu has kept alive for centuries. Today we also grow almonds and aronia on our land. In our online shop we offer Safranbolu saffron, Safranbolu salep and saffron corms.
We are not just a brand that sells products; we are growers who produce much of what we offer in our own fields. We follow every stage closely, from planting and harvesting to packing and delivery. Our saffron is part of the Safranbolu Saffron tradition, which was registered in the European Union as a Protected Designation of Origin on 17 January 2024. Our production is carried out under the supervision of the Karabük Provincial Directorate of Agriculture.

Three steps from field to jar

Planting
Our saffron's journey begins with Crocus sativus corms planted in the soil.

Hand harvesting
During the harvest season, the flowers are picked one by one, by hand, in the early morning.

Separating and drying
The red threads of each flower are separated by hand, dried the same day and prepared for packing.
WHY US
We don't just say it, we measure it
With a product as valuable as saffron, we believe trust cannot come from packaging alone. That is why our saffron is analysed by an independent laboratory under the ISO 3632 standard, measuring its colouring strength (crocin), flavour (picrocrocin) and aroma (safranal). The analysis of our 2025 harvest was carried out by Mérieux NutriSciences – Chelab (report no. 26/000049160).
